Online Marketing Manager (Medical Pharmaceutical Subscription-based Publishing)

Therapeutic Research Center is a very stable company with a 25-year track record of success and growth. The staff produces exceptionally high-quality products that are in high demand by physicians, pharmacists, hospitals, medical schools, pharmacies and consumers. The Center is fully accredited by the American Council on Continuing Medical Education, American College of Emergency Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education and others to provide continuing medical education credits. Therapeutic Research is located in the upscale Brookside Business Park in Stockton CA, one half hour South of Sacramento.
The new marketer will work full-time in our Stockton, CA office (we are not looking for telecommuters right now). The culture is very comfortable, yet professional with a strong emphasis on results. The Marketing Manager assures that the editorial content created by our editorial team is published optimally to enhance user experience and meet marketing goals for new and renewal subscriptions. This person will be responsible for managing, developing, and implementing strategic online efforts to maximize growth in paid subscriptions. He/She will be immersed in site analytics, architecture, user experience, landing pages, social media, blogs, e-mail campaigns, webinars, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participate with colleagues in developing and implementing a successful web strategy.
- Responsible for management, development, implementation, and success of specific online marketing strategies.
- Increase subscription sales, conversions, and renewals to meet goals.
- Increase search engine generated sales using SEO and SEM strategies.
- Develop e-mail campaigns to increase recognition, revenue, and retention.
- Assist in the management and development of online content to improve the user experience on our site.
- Utilize site analytics, marketing campaign metrics, and customer data to measure and enhance the user experience on our site.
- Implement recommendations to drive improvements to the site.
- Implement social media strategy. Must be able to write in our voice and conduct ongoing monitoring of discussions, replying when appropriate.
- Implement effective blogging component to editorial content and as part of web strategy.
- Manage regular reporting and updates and identify areas of improvement to management.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Should have a minimum of 5 years of successful online marketing experience, preferably in an online publishing atmosphere.
- Extensive knowledge of web marketing.
- Proven track record of success in fast-moving organization.
- Proven ability to plan and organize major marketing initiatives with successful results.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong computer/technical skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Well organized with attention to detail; must have exceptional follow-through.
